One of two beaches in the 3971 acre Guelph Lake conservation area. Both of the large sandy beaches are equipped with change houses and life-jacket loaner programs. Niether beach is patrolled by lifeguards so parents or guardians should keep a close eye on children. For anglers, the lake offer trophy sized northern pike, small mouth bass, large mouth bass, black crappie, yellow perch, and carp. Non-motorized boating is allowed in Guelph Lake; canoeing, kayaking, sailing and windsurfing are popular here and can be rented at the boat house on the main beach. Guelph Lake Pit was posted for E-coli levels exceeding Ministry of Health guidelines in May 2012.

To this day I have been working hard as a volunteer with the Town of Fort Erie to find answers as to why so much algae accumulates on our public beach and how to find solutions that can help our community have access to a clean beach, clean swimmable water and a healthy sustainable environment.
