Located South of Sudbury’s downtown area, this sandy beach is a popular recreational spot complete with snack bars and functional restrooms. This beach is known for hosting various seasonal events such as the Northern Lights Festival Boreal, Summerfest, and the Sudbury Dragon Boat Races. There is a boardwalk leading along the edge of the waterfront popular for jogging/biking as opposed to swimming and boating in the waters of Ramsey Lake. The site also holds an amphitheatre, two gazebos and a children’s play-area, with free parking available at the Sudbury Canoe Club. Lifeguards are on duty from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. between June 27th to August 19th.

I learned to swim in Lake Wahnapitae. I love it's clean, cool, deep waters. This lake is in my heart and soul forever.
