I didn’t get the feeling I fully belonged here till I started connecting with the natural environment.

Antonio, Surf the Greats

This episode, titled Swim, profiles two members of the Swim Drink Fish movement: Madhu Nagaraja and Antonio Lennert.

Madhu is a world renowned open water swimmer, who has swam across Lake Ontario, the English Channel and the Straights of Magellan (the first Canadian and Indian citizen to do so). He’s also a Swim Drink Fish ambassador, co-founder of the Great Lakes Trust, and the co-founder of GLOW Adventures.

Originally from Brazil, Antonio is an avid Great Lakes surfer. He founded Surf the Greats, a surf shop and academy located in Toronto. The shop was established to foster community through the adventure of surfing the Great Lakes and beyond. Through his work, Antonio is helping connect people to Lake Ontario through recreational water activities, and building a community of water stewards while he’s at it.

Follow along as the two discuss the importance of Lake Ontario, our connection to it, and why they consider themselves lucky to call this place home.
