Named because the water is so deep and therefore the lake looks black – Black Lake is a still body of water surrounded by a very thick forest. My family’s cottage, which has been in our family for 40+ years, is on the lake. Growing up, whenever we went to the cottage, we would go tubing, waterskiing, canoeing – it’s been around forever.
