Curtis Creek, ON - Hayley Goodchild

During late winter 2018, an unusual spell of warm weather and rain caused Curtis Creek to overflow its culvert to the north of our house. It flowed south and pooled more than two feet deep in the low part of our backyard. My neighbour and I had to 'rescue' the lawnmower from our yard shed before it flooded. Apparently the original route of the Creek was through our property, before it was straightened, to empty into the Otonabee River
