I spent the summers of 2008-2011 wandering the Lakes on a Hunter 340 sailboat, DreamCatcher. I stayed in more than 100 harbours and visited all five of the Lakes. Most of the journey I sailed single-handed, but every night in harbour I found a waterfront tavern and thereby met hundreds of Americans and Canadians united by their love of the Lakes. The great bridge at Mackinaw is one of the iconic focal points of these waters but I have a thousand other photos I could share.
