My Watermark is the Kingston Waterfront of Lake Ontario.
I have too many powerful memories on the Kingston Waterfront to count. I feel blessed to live near the water- 3 to 4 kms north of it and go down to Portsmouth Harbour, Lake Ontario and Patterson Park over and over.
About two years ago my love for the waterfront was made into a 8 minute digital slideshow (shown at the Pumphouse Museum). There were about 50 images, all of them depicting water and sky at the Lake. All different moods, weather, seasons, time of day, ice, fresh-snow, big waves, calm surfaces, sunsets, mists, and on and on.. I called the piece "Breathing Space," as that is what the lake, the open water is for me.
The Kingston Waterfront is important to me because open water - its visually, emotionally, and spiritually vital to me. It is a sift. Thanks for presenting and providing access to our waterfront.
