Lake Louisa, ON

One of the waterbodies I feel most connect to is Lake Louisa. My most powerful memory of this waterbody was the time I listened to a pair of bald eagles call out in the middle of a common loon. Symphony while floating in my canoe.
Watermarks are true stories about you and your connection to a body of water. By archiving your story, you add to a living record of our shared water heritage, protecting these waters for generations to come. So tell us: What is your watermark?

I realized how precious drinkable water is. Having to boil water complicated our schedule, and made water so much more coveted among us. While the contamination of our Pristine made the trip much more difficult, it gave me a new appreciation for water.
