I was on the rowing team and we used to row on the river feeding into Lake Ontario every morning. One morning, our coach took us out into the lake and we rowed into the water close to Oakville. It was fantastic.
We did a lot of training, going up and down the river. Everyday, all the time. For us it was really interesting because it was the first time we rowed out into the lake, across the open water.
It was a pretty cool feeling to do that in the morning. When you are out there at 5:30 in the morning, it's really calm and quiet. It was great.
