To escape the buzz of urban life with a 20-minute ferry to watch the sunset on a quiet beach, surrounded by nature over the city I love. It is precious, it is Canada. It's my therapy. We must protect these waters. It's the water we drink and the source of our creativity and competitiveness. We are stewards over these lakes, they are not ours to destroy. I revel in an escape to the Island but not swimming is a consistent reminder of the action needed to be taken. There exists real power in our City to lead in better condition for future generations, rather than maintaining our individualist ideals of profit over humanity and apathy to pollution.
