I am a biologist at Ontario Streams, a non-profit in the Toronto area that does restoration and rehabilitation around water. A lot of what gets flushed down the toilet can end up in the lake. When you see plastic on a sidewalk or on a beach, pick it up, because if we don't pick it up, it will end up in our water. The number one thing I like to do on Lake Ontario is sailing. I sail on dinghies and tall ships and I need clean water to enjoy it.
