Lake St. Francis, ON

My Watermark is Lake St. Francis on the St. Lawrence River in South Glengarry, Ontario.

My childhood and adolescence years were spent on the family dairy farm right on the shores of Lake St. Francis on the St. Lawrence River. We lived in the extreme southwest corner of Quebec by the New York State border. Our family have always had strong memories of boating, fishing, and swimming in the summer and then fishing and skating in the winter time on the creeks running into the Lake. We would watch the large lake freighters travel along the St. Lawrence River Seaway and hear their horns as they passed each other travelling between Cornwall, Valleyfield, and Montreal.
