I spent my summers on this lake growing up, at my grandfather's modest camp. We would be in that lake come May long weekend, no matter how freezing it was. He built a canoe himself, in which my siblings, cousins and I had a ton of fun. We caught crayfish, and my great aunt (who had a camp next door) would fry them up in butter and I would eat them whole! I learned to swim in Lake Wahnapitae. I love it's clean, cool, deep waters. This lake is in my heart and soul forever.
