When I was young at the river, I would visit Niagara Falls every summer with my family. We would stay the whole day, walking for hours and enjoying the view. I remember going on a big boat with a colourful poncho, heading to the end of the falls, getting soaked with the cold water as I got closer. It felt warm, dry and pleasant after awhile, when I walked in the scorching hot sun. I remember taking thousands of photos in front of the falls alone or together with my family.

When I was young at the river, I saw big buildings tower over and around the great falls, I would be mesmerized by how tall they were and how deep the waterfall was. Even at a distance, I could hear big crashing noises from the water below. I remember getting and eating creamy chocolate kisses from the Hershey’s store by the water. It tasted so good while eating a bunch with my siblings. I remember smelling the water from up top while I walked by, near or close.

When I was young at the river, I was always excited to be there. I anticipated my opportunity to visit every school year. I had to wait every school year. It made me scared when I looked down at how deep the falls were because I have acrophobia (afraid of heights). I
remember thinking I could fall down into the bottom of the falls from up top, which still scares me to this day. I was always curious of how a giant waterfall was made like Niagara’s. I remember feeling like I was in the desert every step I took outside, and my brothers would whine about how hot it was.

At the river, I always remember eating with my family in a hotel with a great view of the waterfall. I miss getting the pancakes with the sweet jam because it tastes so good. I will always remember the view, the hotel and the boat ride, plus how much fun I had. I would go back any time during the summer break without Covid, with friends, family or myself if possible.
