My most powerful memory of the Ottawa River is of fishing with my Dad and my brother down by the Rideau Falls. It was the day I got a huge Catfish -- the biggest catch of the day for any of us. I could barely reel it in myself. It was so ugly with its whiskers, but so cool at the same time. Most of the time we just caught little Sunfish or Bluegills, so this Catfish felt special.
