My Watermark is the Thousand Islands area of the St. Lawrence River.
10 miles down that way is a completely different world than our here in the lake. 1800 islands, currents, just a beautiful area. The reason it's my watermark is that I grew up basically on Lake Ontario, but I was employed in Clayton, New York at the Antique Boat Museum and I started to get to know the river and the Thousand Islands a lot more. I was able to go out on museum boats and go through the islands, get to know the waters, (and) the different channels.
