My name is Elizabeth Kerr and I’m from Toronto, Canada. My favourite water body is Lake Stewart in Ontario. This water body is important to me because 20 years ago I bought a cottage on it and I’ve always wanted to live by the water. It’s a small landlocked lake but it’s big enough to sail and power boat and ski in but small enough to keep away all of the big traffic.
The sad part about the lake is that it doesn’t have its own marina or any kind of controls so everybody has to use a ramp to get in and out of it. And sometimes when there is a tragedy or a boat sinking there is no structure on the lake so we’re working on trying to give some kind of safety community together so people are watching and when something happens we can communicate with each other and go out to help.
