My Watermark is the Toronto Harbour of Lake Ontario.
My story took place about 10 years ago when I joined the blind sailing Canada group. Toronto Harbour was a place you'd cross to get to the Island. After I lost my sight and joined the blind sailing, all of a sudden there was a chance to be empowered on the water and just to appreciate being free and sailing on Lake Ontario with other people of like mind and disability.
So, we went out mostly every day for 3 hours. We went around the island, I took basic sailing, and it was just so wonderful to feel that freedom out on the water. I really appreciate it.
