Located on the north shore of Lake Ontario is the impressive Petticoat Creek Conservation Area. This park has so much to offer, from a 4,100 square-metre aquatic facility, to a wide variety of plant and animal life. The aquatic facility includes a massive 800-person capacity swimming pool with beach entry, a splash play area, and state-of-the-art water conservation technology all surrounded by the park’s natural features. Petticoat Creek Conservation Area also has playgrounds, sports fields, and access to the Waterfront Trail (link) with some of the most breathtaking views of Lake Ontario. It is no wonder why this park is a popular destination for swimming, hiking, cycling, and simply relaxing amongst the wildlife. Petticoat Creek offers a unique corridor of travel for wildlife as they make their way to Lake Ontario. Keep your eyes peeled for foxes, white-tailed deer, red-tailed hawks, and fish swimming in the stream!

I wanted to go to Algonquin Park but my dad couldn't. All I did was badger him about it constantly. We had this sleek red canoe. My dad come up with the idea that we should take it down to Rowntree Mills Park, put it in the water and head to Lake Ontario.
