The waterbody I feel most connected to is Bob’s Lake, near Westport, Ontario. I’ve spent 21 summers there. My parents have a cottage there, and we go boating every single weekend in the summer for 21 years.
We just sold our trailer that I got when I was six years old, and I’m devastated. But I’m on the water now, the St. Lawrence, so it kind of dulls the pain now that I’m on the water. It’s not the same but I love being on the water.
We used to go cliff-jumping, tubing, boating, just travel around looking at cottages and the waterside, and watch the sunset.
