We bought our cottage on Foote Lake five years ago. It is off the grid and on a portion of the lake that has always been extremely quiet. We see moose and deer tracks each morning. There are loons, wolves, and all manner of wildlife.
I absolutely love the place.
I fear a growing population of people on the lake will not appreciate the solitude and will replace the lovely silence with the roar of jet skis and loud motor boats. There are so few quiet spots left. I wish we could appreciate and keep them.
