Legs were turning bright red like the lobsters at the bottom of our great oceans as we paddled through the sun for hours with our campsite only a few miles away. Then there it was, a beautiful campground up high on a cliff with a set of rapids below, flowing into the crystal blue bay.
I walked up the path to the campsite. The view of the calm bay and the raging river flowing into it was spectacular. As we set up our tents, I was thinking that I wanted to go for a walk up the river. I asked and the answer was yes.
Mist was in the sky because of the water crashing into the rock. Without this water, I wouldn't have made these great memories on the French River.
