Lake Huron, ON

For the past thirteen years, I have been going to my grandparent’s cottage in Tobermory. Their cottage is on Lake Huron. We enjoy fishing, boat rides, crayfish hunting and a lot more. When we go up there we see all kinds of animals like bears, fish, birds, snakes, and so much more!

My cottage is about ten minutes from town. The town is really small but actually pretty. There are some little shops that have some cute clothes. The sunsets are really pretty, and star watching is very fun. We love to sit on the dock and go swimming. We have to wear lots of sunscreens it is really hot.

We go for walks every night and occasionally mornings. We also go on big long paddleboards rides. The drive is about three and a half hours. The car ride is long but very pretty to look at. The only thing is that when it rains it rains hard and a lot. The winds are very cold even when it is really hot outside.

This waterbody has proven itself to be a very important part of my life. The love I have for this place made me realize how important it is to keep it clean for the next generations.
