My watermark is the waterfront trail along Lake Huron at the Southhampton beach.

My most memorable experience at this waterbody is cycling along the waterfront trail each night exactly one hour before sunset while staying up in Southhampton each year for several weeks. The wonderful feeling of freedom and calmness created by the Great Lake was incredible. The glory of the sunset was the perfect end to each day. We were always awed by the variety of sunsets and the incredible amount of sunset worshippers that were drawn to the beach each night. Some walking or sitting with glasses of wine, some with kids spending the final hour before bedtime at the beach playground and some like us finishing off a wonderful bike ride.
