My Watermark is Lake Michigan in Leland, Michigan.
Where the Carp River and Lake Michigan meet you can sit on a bench and listen to the sounds of the water and boats as you eat fresh fish recently brought in by the fishermen. In Leland, along the water where old meets new, the water is LIFE to visitors, residents and fishermen alike.
I took a class through EMU called Unique Michigan and found Leland just one of the many charming water town treasures. Having grown up enjoying so many areas along Lake Michigan, as well as many inland lakes, I still find amazing views and sounds of our beautiful waterways that I haven’t experienced.
