On August 8th, 2019, my family and I decided to travel to Niagara Falls. When we arrived, the scenery was breathtaking. Gracefully arcing over the edge, the crystal water's surface appeared to be floating there as though it was made of glass. And as the water surged over the edge, it covered the entire body of water below in a glorious burst of white and blue, it was certainly an experience I would never forget.
The image that really resonated with me was when the sky had completely darkened and the only light came from the buildings in the late hours of the night. Suddenly, fireworks burst into the sky, leaving a trail of light in its wake. They then burst into colour, radiating off the river in an array of colours that illuminated the water's surface as I had never seen before.
And as we drove home the memory replayed in my mind and even if I had tried, I could never have forgotten the experience.
