I was sailing as I usually do, with out Ottawa Rowing Club, ad the water started out calm, but the wind and eaves built progressively during my row. Many people were enjoying the water: jet skiers, water boats, cruise ship, sailboat, kayakers, and stand-up paddle boarders, but most had gone in while the storm picked up.
I made my way back through Bathtubby (choppy) water where the Ottawa River meets the Gatineau and enjoyed calms waters along the shore, black to my club with relatively little water traffic. I consider myself blessed each time I can now after work and connect with nature and the water.
