Toronto Harbour, ON

My Watermark is the Toronto Harbour of Lake Ontario.

My husband and I keep our sailboat at Ontario Place and it's our escape from city-life. It gives us a different perspective of Toronto and we spend many days in the summer sailing and then often anchoring off the island to swim.

I also like to try and walk my dog down by the lake throughout the year because he loves it. But he drinks the water as he swims and it looks disgusting along the shore. I spend more time monitoring what he's sniffing or putting in his mouth and saying DROP IT, than I do enjoying my time with him when on the beach. It is littered with trash, condoms, needles, plastic, broken bottles and garbage. It's so sad that we have such a beautiful path along lakeshore Blvd, but the shore and water aren't kept clean for us to enjoy. Hoping this changes.
