Finlayson Point Provincial Park - East Beach

Beach

Finlayson Point Provincial Park provides a gateway to Temagami’s vast wilderness, including Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater, and provides a base for canoeists, boaters, hikers and anglers seeking the wilds of the Temagami region. The park boasts two sheltered, natural sandy beaches on Lake Temagami that have warm, clear, shallow waters and are perfect for swimming. The beaches are marked with buoys and have a gradual drop-off, and are part of thousands of kilometers of ancient pine shoreline. Camp beneath towering stands of White and Red Pine on the shores of Lake Temagami, enjoy watching the float planes land and take off, and make sure to hike to Caribou Mountain lookout and fire tower, with views over the park, the town of Temagami and Lake Temagami.
The park provides parking and restrooms located near the beaches and a day-use area nearby which has picnic tables/shelters and a playground available for use.

Open fires and alcoholic beverages not permitted in any beach areas
No lifeguards, water safety is your responsibility
No dogs are permitted on the public beaches but there is a dog beach for use within the park
