Hanover Beach | Great Lakes Guide

Town of Hanover Beach is a sandy public swimming beach. Picnic pavilions, charcoal grills, a playground, restrooms, and parking are all free to the public and handicapped accessible. Nearby , the Cattaraugus Creek empties into Lake Erie. The Creek's name comes from a native word meaning "foul-smelling river bank" because natural gas oozes from the river mud in some areas upstream.
