Marten River Provincial Park - Chicot Beach

Beach

The park is the southern gateway to the Temagami area and is a base for canoeists, boaters, hikers and anglers. The park boasts 3 natural sandy beaches with gradual drop offs that make them very popular for a swimming destination. Be sure to relax by the beach, play a game of beach volleyball or enjoy a friendly game of horseshoes. The park has majestic forests with remnant stands of massive pines including a 350 year old White Pine as you walk the Transition Trail.
With a long logging history, you can take part in various logging contests, enjoy a logger’s bean lunch, be serenaded by fiddlers, charmed by the antics of chainsaw carvers and entertained by an array of musicians during Lumberjack Days.
Chicot Beach is the farthest north, located in Chicot Campground A on the shore of the river bend.

Open fires and alcoholic beverages not permitted in any beach areas.
No lifeguards, water safety is your responsibility
No dogs are permitted on the beaches, but there is a dog beach located within the park for use
