Pointe des Chenes | Great Lakes Guide

Operated by the Sault Ste. Marie Lions' Club, this sand beach is part of a larger campground. Amenities include campsites, showers, washrooms, a disc golf course, shaded areas, and picnic tables. Leashed dogs are welcome. This beach is a perfect spot for families or anyone wanting a quick escape to a sandy beach, great for swimming or enjoying a day at the beach. The beach is a 20-minute drive west of Sault Ste. Marie, near the airport. The beach is right at the very bottom of Lake Superior, where the St. Marys River begins.
