Serpent Mound Beach is close to 2000 year-old prehistoric Native burial mounds on the shoreline of Rice Lake. If you are interested in visiting the Mounds, check with the park first: they may be closed for renovations and upgrades in 2011. Camping, picnic shelters, fishing, and boating are all available nearby. As of 2012, water quality at this beach is not monitored.
