Park

A visit to North Beach Provincial park is sure to make you feel like you’re on vacation. With over 12,00 metres of sandy bands running along Lake Ontario, It is the perfect place to spend a hot summer day picnicking, relaxing in the sand, wading, and swimming in the lake. This beach area offers a more quiet, peaceful setting than its more famous neighbor, Sandbanks. Although the main attraction is the beach, the also park protects several important habitats. In the delicate sand dunes that surround the area, there are many fragile plant species growing. There are also fresh water inlets running through the beaches, providing homes for various fish and bird species. If you take a stroll through these areas, make sure you stay on the designated trails to help conserve these wonderful, fragile ecosystems!
