Pigeon River Provincial Park

Park

This day-use park is a must visit for its dramatic waterfalls, scenic views of Lake Superior and the US shoreline, and the legendary boreal forest. There is certainly no shortage of fantastic hiking trails in Ontario, and this park offers five unique trails that wind through the forest, all with distinguished points of interest. Depending on which trail you choose, you might find interesting relics from the logging era as you venture along an historic logging road. Or, you might venture up to new heights, and capture a panoramic view of Lake Superior while sitting on a sculptural bench inspired by the lake. Another trail leads you past a picturesque waterfall surrounded by the shady boreal forest. This park protects an outstanding landscape with important natural and cultural features, while providing wonderful recreational opportunities for all. A visit to Pigeon River Provincial Park will surely not disappoint.
