Set at the top of a bluff overlooking the blue waters of Lake Huron, Point Farms Provincial Park has long been a site for family vacations and beautiful sunsets. More than 100 years ago, a popular Victorian style resort called the Point Farm Hotel stood in what is now park area. People from all over Southern Ontario came to relax at this luxurious resort up until its closure in 1915. Presently, the spot of the long-gone hotel is made up of lightly wooded areas, including a steep valley that runs down to the park’s sandy beach. There is a diverse set of trails running throughout the park that will take you past open fields, old orchards, old-growth forests, and along the bluff to the several limestone outcroppings of Lake Huron. After exploring the park, take the stairs down the valley towards the sandy, family-friendly beach for a refreshing dip in the waters of Lake Huron. You can also enjoy winter activities in this park. Please contact the park for more details.
