Rainbow Falls Provincial Park

Park

Looking for one of the best places to camp in Ontario? Look no further! Rainbow Fall Provincial Park offers it all. This park has a beautiful shoreline with campsites on two lakes. Here you will find the majestic rocky shores of Lake Superior and the calmer, inland lake, Whitesand. These distinct lakes make the park a diverse place to explore by canoe or on foot. The Lake Superior side of the park is perfect for those brave enough to swim and canoe in the cold, choppy waters. Contrarily, the Whitesand lake, with its sandy beach and calm, warmer waters is perfect for everyone. Rainbow Falls is also an ideal hiking destination. You might choose a 1.5 hour hike up to the bridge, overlooking cascading waters that plunge over the rocks of Rainbow falls. Or, plan a 5-day hike along the spectacular Voyager Hiking Trail. This route links up to the communities of Terrace Bay, Schreiber, and Rossport, and passes all the way through Rainbow Falls. Along the way, you will find a series of zigzag cascades, scenic views of Lake Superior, and long stretches of woodlands. You won’t want to leave your camera behind! You can also enjoy winter activities in this park. Please contact the park for more details.
