Sheffield Conservation Area is a massive 1,154 acre park located just 11 km south of Kaladar, Ontario, and 37 km north of Napanee, Ontario. The park is home to a vast lake surrounded by the magnificent rocks of the Canadian Shield. Over 4 km of looped trails wind their way over uphill slopes, through blueberry patches, and onto granite outcrops with spectacular vistas. Sheffield Conservation Area is a little piece of paradise in Ontario’s deep south, with a beautiful assortment of wildflowers, including orange Wood Lilies and pale Corydalis. Songbirds, reptiles, amphibians, and a variety of small mammals also have made a home in the wetlands and deciduous forests of this Conservation Area. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful spot to picnic, or a challenging day of hiking, Sheffield has something for you!
