Waterford North Conservation Area

Park

Waterford North Conservation area is a popular spot for weekend camping trips, with tranquil paddles along the lakes and picnics on the shore. The three small lakes (Pickeral Lake, Willow Pond, and Bass Lake) that make up this park are actually rehabilitated gravel pits, but now play host to an abundance of fish species — including Northern Pike and a variety of Bass and Panfish. This abundance makes Waterford North a preferred fishing destination! Relax along the small, sandy beach or camp out at one of the 100 campsites. Hike along the many trails, with easy access to the Waterfront Trail and the Trans Canada Trail, and travel up to the 166 m long high-level bridge for stunning views of the surrounding lakes and wildlife. Waterford North also hosts “Power on the Pond”: a race that takes place as part of the Toronto Outboard Racing Club.
