My Watermark is the Kingston Waterfront of Lake Ontario.
My most powerful memory of the Kingston Waterfront was the time I came down to Kingston, from Ottawa, to visit a friend. She was a doctor, working at the hospital, and we walked along the shore together at Macdonald Park. We have been friends since Grade 1, but hadn't seen each other in a long time It was lovely to catch up on news, reminisce old memories in such a beautiful outing. It was definitely a walk I will always remember.
The Kingston waterfront is important to me because public access to the waterfront is very important. With an increase in digital technologies/screens , open access to health, tranquil, and natural spaces is vital.
