I am the Director of Environmental Policy with the Town of Oakville and I have been studying water quality for over thirty years as an environmental scientist. Now I am developing policy to try to ignite people to take action and protect our waters and environment.
I’ll pass on one of my more personal stories -- I grew up on the shores of Lake Ontario and the water was always meaningful to me, but my children were raised at my in-laws cottage right on the shores of Lake Huron and some of my most enjoyable moments were sitting along the beach with the whole family, sometimes up to fifteen people, enjoying the waters, enjoying the sunsets and just valuing our Great Lakes as inspiring and a great place to have recreation.
