I moved to Goderich for a job at a local organization last year. I used to work at the ocean on the west coast. I moved to the interior of Canada and then realised that fresh water systems were very interesting. So I had a great learning opportunity last year. Now I spend a lot of my time on shoreline clean-up, learning about how people interact with the Great Lakes.
For example, Lake Huron, where I work, provides drinking water to many communities. Millions of people get benefits from the lake, such as fishing, recreational opportunities and more. That’s why I love doing shoreline clean-up and keeping our shores healthy!
