Mink Lake, ON

My name is Emma Arsenault. I’m from Peterborough, Ontario.

There has been a few but I think the big one would be a little lake, almost a pond called Mink Lake. We were visiting a neighbour’s cottage and they took us on this big hike right after a big storm had just gone through and there were a whole bunch of trees down so it was quite the hike. We made it to this beautiful pristine lake called Mink Lake and it had that name because its where hunters used to go during the season when mink were around. It was like nothing I had ever seen before and I think it was so rewarding because of the hike there. We got to paddle around in that and I had been to Ontario lakes before but this was something else, this was like I said, pristine and remote and everything that I thought Canada and Ontario should be.
