Barrie - Johnson Beach

Beach

Quieter neighbour to Barrie’s bustling Centennial Park
waterfront, Johnson’s beach provides a two-acre wedge of sandy expanse along
with beautiful views of the shoreline and the city proper. Johnson’s beach
offers parking, washroom facilities, and easy access to the nearby North Shore multi-use
trail. The beach is open for swimming from late June until mid-August, during
which time a lifeguard is on duty daily from 11:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. There are
lifejackets available for the public to borrow at the Lifeguard’s office. No
smoking and no dogs are permitted on the beach.
