Carol Beach / Prairie Shores

Located in Pleasant Prairie, this series of 5 small beaches run along the Lake Michigan shoreline from just North of 102nd street to just South of 116th street along Pleasant Prairie’s Lake Shore Drive.
All of the areas offer access to Lake Michigan’s scenic views, water and swimming access, as well as limited opportunities for bird watching.
The beach areas are(from north to south) Edithton Beach, Lakeshore Park(off-road parking available- 10531 Lakeshore Drive), Prairie Shores Beach(off-road parking available- 10899 Lakeshore Dr), Chiwaukee View and Phil Sanders Park.
The public access points are marked with signs.
The largest of the five is Prairie Shores(aka Carol Beach).
These beaches are used heavily by locals as neighborhoods and houses are mixed intermittently between these public areas.
Parking is limited, but available on-street along Lakeshore Drive and at Lakeshore Park and Prairie Shores/ Carol Beach.
No amenities on-site.
Plan to bring everything you need for your day at the beach.
A full service gas station is located about 2.5 miles away at Sheridan Rd.
