Friendly Valley Beach

Located between Washburn and Bayfield on Wisconsin Highway 13, the Friendly Valley and Bayview beaches make up a long, continuous beach along the Lake Superior shoreline.
Visitors to this long stretch of public beach will enjoy soft, sandy shoreline and beautiful views of the lake.
Additionally, the water off of the beaches remains shallow for a long stretch off the shore allowing swimmers to wade a fair distance into the water.
No amenities are available at either beach, but visitors will enjoy a quieter stretch of lakeshore and plenty of space to spread out.
In addition to the beaches, access to the Onion River can be gained just north of Bayview beach along Bayview Park Road.
There is private property in the vicinity of the river access point so be sure to obey any posted signage.
