Lagoons Beach

Beach

The Lagoons beach is located north of the Louis Wells Vermilion Lagoons project. These man-made Lagoons were constructed at the 1930s. The first year-round residents moved in the April of 1937.

The people living on the lagoons are known by the locals as "swamp dwellers" or " swamp rats". Some times they would find themselves living in the water rather beside it as lake levels changes with the weather.

The beach has no facilities or lifeguard services.
