Located near the town of Port Rowan, Long Point Provincial Park boasts a long, sandy and shallow beach along the shores of Lake Erie. The beach is available for day-use and overnight campers. Long Point Provincial Park has been designated as a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. The day use beach, located in New Park, is located just south of the park office and next to the dog beach. There is a spacious parking lot behind the beach, and washrooms are available as well.

No lifeguards, water safety is your responsibility.

I spent 23 hours (and 36 minutes) suspended in water swimming from Erie, Pennsylvania USA to Long Point, Ontario Canada. My 'big swim' was a fund-raiser for the Long Point Biosphere Reserve, an volunteer organization dedicated to sustainable living on our planet.
