Long Tail Point

Beach

Accessible by boat only, Long Tail Point and Lighthouse is perfect for those looking for adventure.
No amenities are available on the islands, and a smaller watercraft such as a kayak will likely be needed if you wish to land on the island due to shallow waters.
Those making the effort will be rewarded with outstanding wildlife viewing and amazing views of the Bay.
Be aware that heading out towards the old lighthouse, you can expect to see more people and watercraft as larger boats can access the area from the south.
Please respect all posted ordinances and property markers as well as pack out all trash and belongings.
Before heading out on the water, check the local weather forecast and be alert for changing conditions.
Additional questions regarding the area can be directed to the Wisconsin DNR at 1-888-936-7463.
