Meatbird Lake Park

Meatbird Lake is a freshwater recreational lake located within Meatbird Lake Park. It is said that this lake is named after the Gray Jay or Whiskey Jack Jay bird which would frequent this area and snack on campers food, specifically meat scraps. This park offers parking, lifeguard supervision and has a trail which is part the Greater Sudbury Trail system know as Rainbow Routes. Lifeguards are on duty between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. from June 23rd to August 19th and the Rainbow Routes nature trail circles Meatbird Lake offering many lookout areas.
